Saved multiplayer game, now it is nowhere to be found!

Post by Zequez »

Yesterday I played a multiplayer game. When I went to save before quitting I found myself with a different save screen from the usual, I could see the filesystem for some reason. Anyway, today, when I was trying to load the multiplayer game, I'm received with the regular save screen and the multiplayer game is not there. I have checked the save folders on `Roaming` and the multiplayer save is not there. Is there any other place where Factorio save games?

It is in the roaming/factorio/temp folder if you did not change the folders.

Nope, folder is empty. I did play single player yesterday before I realized that the last MP game wasn't saved. But doesn't matter, one of my friends got an autosave of the map, so we recovered it :)

When saving a game in multiplayer I like to:
  • select [temp\..] - (up one level)
  • select [saves]
  • name the game and press save.
This will put it in the normal save game folder.
Google is my friend. Searching the forum and the wiki is always a first.
