Mac OS Mojave Version 10.14.2

Post by IaRoadKill »

Are there any plans to update the game to run on the latest Mac OS?
I think i'd love the game but it won't load.

Thanks

Hello, thanks for reporting the issue.
As far as I know the game runs just fine for the most macOS 10.14 users. (this thread is the first reported issue from macOS 10.14.2, that I know of)

There was a crash report: 63770 which showed the game crashing in VRAM size detection code, which we changed for 0.17 (so hopefully it won't crash in that version anymore), and there is a workaround for 0.16 (see: viewtopic.php?f=218&t=63770#p388743).

If the workaround doesn't work for you, please post factorio-current.log located in ~\Library\Application Support\factorio\

I'm on windows but my I7-860 is only 2.8 GHz, and that runs the game fine, other people with much weaker mobile processors can also play fine so that shouldn't be the issue.

Please upload the log. That should help the devs see where it is crashing, and hence solve the problem.
