join server -> get up -> save game

Post by XaLpHa89 »

Sometimes, when I want to visit bigger multiplayer maps, my computer does not manage to catch up to the current state. In the menu is the entry "save game", when pressed but nothing happens. What can I do to look at the map?

Get a faster potato or ask the server admin to reduce game speed.

How can I change the game speed from the outside?

My i7 is equipped with SSD and 12 GB of RAM. And on my 25000 Internet line, it will not be synonymous.

You can move the mp-download in the save folder to load the last game you connected to if all you want is check out the map.

%appdata%/Factorio/temp/mp-download.zip
%appdata%/Factorio/temp/currently-playing/

The file I found, unfortunately, this is only briefly preserved and unpacked after "currently-playing" - when copying and then loading the map, I get an error that info.json is missing.
