Factorio binding to wrong ethernet adapter

I am having an issue hosting multiplayer. My computer has 3 ethernet adapters. Factorio has choosen the wrong one (VPN) and is then asking pingpong for the external IP. Now pingpong reports the wrong external ip, hence no one is able to connect. I need to tell factorio which ethernet adapter to use (or let me set my own external ip). Is this supported?

That's currently supported only when running the game as headless server. In that case it accepts command line argument --bind=IP_OF_ADAPTER
