Trouble installing mods: "Operation not permitted"

Dear all,

I've done the obligatory search but could not find a similar problem that seemed helpful. Happy to stand corrected.

This aside: when I want to install a mod (any mod), the game opens the mod repo nicely but when I select one for download and install, it CTD's with "operation not permitted".

I uninstalled and re-installed the game (latest steam version) but same deal.

On Windows 10, all updated, x64, DX version whatever comes with a GTX1060.

Make sure the directory or file are not write protected and try it with disabled anti virus software.

Sorry but I'm not extremely technical.

What file do you mean? Where is it located?
