Can't catch up to most servers anymore

Post by Eaggra »

Hi,

in the past weeks and months I haven't played so much Factorio. In earlier times it was no problem to catch up on servers with bigger maps, also when there was a playercount 30+. But now when I want to join the catching up bar runs in the most times backwards. Was there a update that changed some things here or do I need to reinstall my PC.

I only play with a Laptop what is far from highend, but was working quite well:

Code: Select all

   Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_ldr_escrow.180528-1700)

System Manufacturer: Acer
       System Model: Aspire 5750G

          Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
             Memory: 6144MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 5996MB RAM

Check your CPU temperature and make sure your performance options are not set to save power. Generally your CPU is quite weak so not being able to join mid or endgame bases is to be expected, try joining smaller/less progressed games.
