How to connect steam with the Factorio site

I do know how to connect Steam with the Factorio site, but Steam cannot be connected because it says that Steam is already connected with another account (I think this is the account that I reset earlier because I forgot it's password) I thought I reset my old account but I guess the Factorio site doesn't think so. Please help. I am not tech savvy to go slow please. :)
