Smoke stuttering

I got quite a good gaming laptop
GTX 1070 8gb VRAM
16gb RAM
i7-7700hq 3.4Ghz
Yet whenever I turn on smoke in factorio, I keep getting stuttering/framerate drops for a second every few minutes...Is that normal?

Hi,
i also have regular FPS drops and i always thought this was caused by the latest Windows 10 Creators Update or my GPU Drivers (both up to date) since my Graphics Card is never really busy playing Factorio. I never tought about it being an issue with the smoke. Will check this later today and get back here with my results.

I checked it yesterday and the FPS drops disappeared around my Steam Engines after i turned off Smoke in the Settings. I still have some FPS drops but these don't seem to be connected to the smoke issue.
GTX 970 4GB
8GB RAM DDR4-2400
i5 6600K
Graphics Card isn't really busy (not even during the FPS drops)

To make this "Bug Report" easier i added some files. Affected version 16.16.
