Computer audio stops/bugs when playing factorio [0.16.50]

Dear People,

When I start up my factorio whilst listening to music on spotify or i'm in a discord channel my sounds bugs.
Randomly my sound is put of and I have to reselect my headset again in discord. In spotify it's another story. For some seconds my music stops playing and after a few seconds (1/2) it continues.
My sound on spotify conintues where it left. So the music doesn't keep playing whilst i'm not hearing it.

I've just got this issue and never before had any problems with it. (Version 0.15.x and lower)

I hope anyone can help me with this issue

Hello all,

I have been having the same issue as Wouter77, I am playing Factorio 0.16.15 and my Google Play Music, Factorio and Discord sounds keeps cutting out. But its not just the sound pausing, particularly noticeable on Discord, the sound will be "stacked" on top and played all at once. Update

I'm now playing on version 0.16.20 and sadly nothing has changed.
The weird thing is. The sound just stops for about 5 seconds and after the 5 seconds all the sound that should have been played in that 5 seconds is being played in like half a second (So yea little earrape you could say).

i would try setting affinity for factorio and your music. give the music it's own core.
see if that helps.

Hello, been playing around with the affinity settings this week. I works some of the time, but i still have the same problem. Sound glitching out. quite frustrating.

Are there any other suggestions?

make sure the drivers for your audio cards/motherboard audio are up to date.

I have an Audiobox USB by Presonus and listen .flac to Groove Music

For first i got my Settings : Puffersize @ 512 Samples / Samplingrate 44,1kHz

The Sound cuts off as Factorio loads

Then after long searching in the Internet I resized the Puffersize @ 128 Samples

Then I generate this factorio-current.log

hi, i have the same problem in the 16.36 version, a friend let me the steam acc for try the game before do a purchase and when i start to play the game start well, all was ok and i was chatting with my friend and then my audio stopped for a 1,2 seconds ( aproximetly) then after a huge silence of my friend i see he is talking and my headphones arent receiving any sound from discord, i re-configurate all and after 2 minutes this problem happen again, not only with headphones but also my microphone stuck too, this repeat and repeat with no-end, anyone know how to finish this issue? i try compatibility mode, admin mode, unistall and install again, and nothing happened

I would really like to get this problem solved. For that I have my current log-files.

I've still got the problem and its effecting Spotify and Discord for so far. On Spotify it stops the song for a couple of seconds and then continue's the song.
The problem at discord is that when te sound stops it "disables" my sound on my headset so I can't hear anyone on Discord untill I reselect my headset as listening device. What's interesting is that my microphone still continue's to work?

Hopefully someone can help me cause the problem is very annoying
