Weird glitch with font rendering

Anyone had this happen with fonts in Factorio before? Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix it? I've already done the basics (restart game, restart pc, uninstall and reinstall game). I am running quite a few mods and sadly didn't think to run it vanilla, but thought I'd see if anyone had seen this before.

what hardware/OS you running? graphics card/integrated? amount of VRAM?
also try without the mods and see if it clears up.

Without the log there is nothing to go on. I plan to update the local FAQ so it will be more clear what is needed to look into stuff, but that will only work if people actually read it...
