Cant link Factorio to Steam

Hello all,

Me and my girlfriend share a library on steam, with a couple of games such as Factorio.
With the new multiplayer i decided to buy Factorio as well. The purchase on steam worked, though i cannot link my factorio account to my factorio game. The following error occurs:

Linking failed. Neither your Factorio account nor your Steam account have access to the game. Please buy the game either via our website or on Steam.

I reinstalled and deleted all local factorio files on my mac. Without succes...

I hope one of you are able to help me out!
