Hi,

I can't start the beta releases on my computer via steam. The task opens and after some time it just closes again.
My account here is connected to steam.
Is there any problem, when I install the version from the Factorio website or do I need a key to have full access to all features?
The program downloaded from the website starts without problems.

Version available to download on the website is completely DRM free, you don't need any additional keys.

As for the problem with steam version, see this thread: 44699
tl;dr: An antivirus might be somehow blocking it (it was reported Symanted and Trend Micro), others say Razer Synapse or Razer Cortex causes the issue for them.

Putting it on the whitelist in my virusscan worked. I chekced the two exe-files, but I can't find a difference that could explain, why the version downloaded here works without whitelisting it.

Razer Synapse screwed it for me, synapse has brought me nothing but problems.....
