Unable to play private multiplayer games

Hey guys, i hope you can help me. I can't play multiplayer by joining or hosting private games, but I can join public maps hosted by servers. Whenever i host a new game, the sentence "Failed to determine external IP address" comes up. I already tried port forwarding and disabling firewalls but nothing changed. Sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native speaker.
