Game not launching - white screen

Hello,
When starting the game I see a white screen instead. Please let me know if you need more troubleshooting info. Thank you!

I also have this issue - white screen after running the Factorio exe following by a ding (warning message) that it has crashed. This was with a fresh install of 0.15.23 Windows Zip version which works fine on my Windows 7 main PC but not this W10 one. I also tried running my old 0.15.19 zip version of Factorio that did work a couple of weeks ago, but now it does not. White screen and crash when attempting to launch. Windows 10 has done an update between a couple of weeks ago when it worked, and now when it does not work. I have tried restarting the PC, redownloading the Factorio zip from yourselves and extracting it to a new folder, still fails to launch.

Cause found:

RivaTuner Statistics Server 6.4.1

RivaTuner is a piece of software I use as a frame limiter to get smooth frame sync, and it is also used by MSI Afterburner to have a small OSD for fps and temperatures etc.

When RivaTuner is set to "None" for Application Detection Level for the factorio.exe the game will load properly. With RivaTuner enabled, Factorio crashed with a white screen on launch.

This used to work, and I do not think it has updated recently. My main PC also uses this software, and it continues to work fine on that PC so it's probably a Windows 10 update being picky about third-party software relating to DX.

RivaTuner Statistics Server 6.4.1 crashes Direct3D9 on Windows 10 Creators Update. RTSS 7.0.0 fixes this issue.
