Problem with the screen size

Post by NonSonoSimmetrico »

Hi to all!
I just bought this fantastic game but I have a problem:
My monitor is a smart TV (49") and I can't visualize all the window or change the settings cause the screen size (see attachements).
I'm very sorry for my english, please forgive me.
Thanks for any advice!

I think your only option is to turn down the UI Scale to 50-70% range. It looks like your TV is displaying in a very low resolution. It may be that your PC is not seeing that it can do a higher res. You might check your screen resolution in windows and push it to 1080p (or higher if avail). If its a 720p tv then there may not be much you can do beyond the scaling.

Sadly can't scale because I can't confirm the option in the screen, but thanks a lot anyway!

You could temporarily change the scaling in windows to 100% for that screen, launch factorio and enable manual scaling there, then change it back in windows

You can also change the value (custom-ui-scale) in config.ini which is in the %appdata%\Factorio\config folder, just enter that folder name in any windows explorer window or into the Win+R run dialog.

1.0 is equal to 100%, so e.g. 70% would be 0.7.
