There is my own lan / network what can I do about it? He has games but not an account?

I'm not sure this question is in the right forum. It should probably be in the techncial help forum.

But what kind of Internet connection does your friend have? What ISP does he use? A fairly normal ADSL or cable-TV based one? Or some kind of more-or-less exotic fiber connection? And has he tried creating an account?
