I cant make a multiplayer server

So my friend and i was trying to play factorio to gether but an error comes up. i was visiting my friend so we tryde a LAN server so all can join. we found the server but when he tryde to join it this poped up
Couldn`t establish network communication with server.
This happend both ways.
so is it the inernet ore is it somthing wrong whit my pc? can you help?
