laser turret damage error

When I try to log into factorio I keep getting an error ''laser turret damage 6'' does not exist.
Just wondering if I can uninstall and reinstall the game or maybe do something else to fix this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

It says Error in AssignID, technology with name 'bullet-damage-6' does not exist.
sorry for the mix up apparently just learning how to read ....

We need the log file to help you. Go here :

It will tell you where the log file is then you can post it here.

That is really complicated for an old man like me, especially that I am not computer savy
If there is any way we can get on teamspeak you could probably walk me through, otherwise it is back to my original question....can I uninstall and reinstall?

Well, I fixed it myself, believe it or not an OMG moment if ever I saw one.
