my game wont update to 0.13 for the steam version. and i dont want to buy another copy through this website, thats a waste of money for me. i dont know what to do. please help

go to steam library right click on factorio --> properties --> betas ---> select the beta you would like to opt into

I had the same problem. Switch to experimental version and if it still won't download, go to the local files tab of properties and hit verify integrity of game cache. That worked for me.
