My friend and I are trying to play multiplayer together, however, whenever either of us attempts to join each other, we get the "Couldn't establish network communications" error. What should I do.

BTW: If you want to see my log, I don't know how to access it.

This probably means you didn't port-forward your IP adress. If you don't know what this means, I would suggest looking up a hamachi tutorial (for Factorio) or look up "Factorio how to start a multiplayer server".
