So I just finished my single player play through, And I would like to start playing multiplayer, the problem is I have No idea how any of this stuff works, I need help understanding how the multiplayer works, but you guys are going to have to start with the very basics. I tried looking up a youtube guide (the one recomended on the wiki) but It was very complicated and I got halfway into the video and nothing worked properly.

What is it that you want to do?
Join a server?
Make a server?
Play local?

What did you not understand in the tutorial?
What did not work?

You need to be more specific.

All I want to do is create a game that my friend and I can play on. I'm not sure weather that would be making a sever, playing local, ect. And I don't really care as long as my friend and I can actually play.
I got to a point in the tutorial where they asked me to type in my IP address into my browser, but I kept having chrome say that it wasn't a real

That does not make sense, please link the tutorial.

Still unclear: LAN or internet?

My guess is that you should enter your router's IP address in your browser. I have a good idea I know which video you have been watching as I have used the same video to help me enable multiplayer games aswell.

So, you have to type in the IP of your router, or 'default gateway' as it is called in windows ipconfig. From there on the video should be very clear again

So I typed in pretty much every number there (not all together) Including both the default gateway, IPv4 and IPv6. Nothing worked, I kept having chrome tell me the page doesn't exist

...well, does your teammate connect to the same network or is he in a different building?

As I don't see any other way, please post a screenshot of the command window with the ipconfig results.
