Mac Options menu not showing correct

I am running this on fullscreen on an iMac.
I Cannot see the normal options menu, all the options menu's are like this. I cannot go out of fullscreen.
Sadly when i run the game it doesn't fully load, i only see big cubes of the game.

works ok on my windows.
Same problem with Steam or through website download

steam launch option --max-texture-size=2048 fixed this for me.

MacBook Pro Retina, Mac OS X 10.12.4, GT650M 1024MB, HD 4000 1536MB.
Problem was intermittent.
