I played with 0.12.13 but it messed with the mods I was playing with. So I downgraded to 0.12.12 to continue until 0.12.14 came out.

But now I've got this:


When trying to play anyway (Double clicking on the Load Game bar) I get this


AFAIK that temp folder never existed. And isn't in my AppData location.

Any solutions?

Unless you have backup of your saves from 0.12.12, you are stuck to 0.12.13 version of Factorio.

Why is that? Is there a way I can edit the level.dat or something to allow it to load in .12?

From the changelogs I don't think any save file details were changed. And I've downgraded saves before.

No. There are changes to the internals of the save files almost every version release. Also I highly doubt you've downgraded saves before. Factorio is specifically setup to disallow it and has been as long as I can remember.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever downgraded before. Even if the internal structure did not change, it is a standard practice to disallow loading of "newer" savegames due to compatabillity.

Hmm. Perhaps I loaded the original Save instead of the updated Auto Save.
