Multiplayer -- Kick player if server disconnects

Is there any trick to getting the client to exit the game save when the server disconnects in multiplayer? I've had it working for a little while, and now it seems to be letting players stay in the save after disconnect. This causes issues if the player doesn't notice the message about the server disconnecting and keeps playing in a single player save.
