[1.1.69] Updating mods gives timeout error

When trying to update mods, I consistently get a timeout error. Sometimes the first mod does update succesfully, but then the second one gives the timeout error. The restart of Factorio that's needed after a mod-change does not resolve the issue (so no additional mods can update), but completely closing Factorio and opening it again occasionally allows me an additional, single, update.

I feel like it may have to do with the amount of mods I have installed: when temporarily moving some mods to a different directory the mentioned behaviour does not occur. It does not matter which mods I move away, as long as it's (at least?) 30-ish or so of them. In total I have somewhere between 800 and 900 local mods.

This is what I was able to find in the logs:

With 1.1.72 the update check should now handle large mod collections better
