Save file reduced after switching computers

It's a default ribbon world, no mod. I switched from iMac 2020 to an old MacBook Pro 2012. After 1.5 hours play I noticed that the save file size reduced from 7.9MB to 2.8MB.
During the time I didn't explore but also didn't tear down anything, merely building up my base slowly.
Is it normal?
