Crashes shortly after loading.

I want to start by saying of the hundreds (thousands?) of PC games I've played I don't think I've ever came across one a with dev's who have done such a thorough and quality job. The word polished get's thrown around a lot but you can't really define that term until you've played Factorio. Whatever this problem is, I've no doubt I caused it.

I have over 1500 hours in this game and nearly 300 hours in this save. Saved last night and nothing seemed out of order, 3 seconds after logging in it crashes. I tried older saves with the same results. I tried painstakingly removing my way too many mods a few at a time to try to narrow it down using the log but nothing changed, does it with that save and no mods. So I started a new game and left for work, same crash after many hours. I've rebooted several times and I've verified steam files. I have a bunch of different logs but to keep it simple I'll just include the most recent. I'll happily provide mod folder and savefiles if needed to progress further, I'm really hoping to recover my 300 hour game. Thanks for any help you can provide

Can you attach the save as well? If it's too large for the forums, you can use catbox.moe (limit: 200MB) or wetransfer.com (limit: 2GB)

Oddly enough it fired up fine this morning... LOL I have no explanation.

Been running now for half an hour. I've also had another crash from almost the very start of this save, every time I exit or change my mods, but I can't recreate it now. I guess my problems are fixed! Just wish I knew how. Thanks anyway for all your input, learning about this game is fun.

Those crashes are all in different parts of code, so this is a system stability issue. If you are overclocking, try going back to default settings.

No overclocking and my PC has no problems, as stable a system as I've ever run. Cpu usage is 40-50% playing factorio.

Looking over the crash logs with each one being different and in locations that no known valid crashes have occurred in begs to differ.

Your system may be stable in other software but the load Factorio asks of it is pushing it in different ways exposing instability.

When you say "no overclocking" are you running the XMP profile on your RAM?

That means you are running your cpu out of spec. Try disabling it.

To be more specific on Loewchen’s response, XMP is an overclocking profile.
