game wont update over 0.11.16

i have factorio 0.11.16, i have my settings set so i check for updates and download experimental updates, yet it never goes over 0.11.16, pls help

The simplest method would be to just download the latest version manually and remove the old one.

There might've been a problem with the updater when 11.16 was released, please download the latest version from the website.
