Coal on corners gets stuck

Factolrio 0.11.19 on Linux, 64 bit.
Coal (I have yet to determine if other items have the same behaviour).

The left lane (on the vertical run), only has coal move onto it from the top lane, when an inserter, on the bottom, removes coal from the belt, making the inner lane move forward.
I expect the outer lane to fill completely.
I hope that makes sense.

It looks like you're trying to transport 3 lines of coal on the belt, that will obviously cause problems because the belts are designed to work with 2 lines.

Yes, it is duplicate, but don't worry, I'm just in the middle of rewriting the whole transport belt logic internals for 0.12, and as a side effect, this will never happen.

I have seen the 3-line stuck problem too, but it has been mostly caused by altering the belt setup and adding splitters etc. so it does not often happen spontaneously in game. Inserting items into belt corners will cause this however.
Kovarex, will your new logic fix the loss of compression in belt corners too?

Edit: Twisted was faster...
Kovarex, will you change then the behavior, that items in the inner curve are "slowed down" like now? (It is not really a slowdown, more a queuing before a slight bottleneck)
For those, which want to follow: that discussion

I ask, cause I think the feeling was in the end, that there is some kind of balance of forum users, which prefer to keep that special behavior (not that stucking bug from above of course
) and those, which might not.
(Hope you have enough integration tests to check, if that works as before (or works different now), cause I think that the belts are really special code.
)

It was previously promised that this will indeed be fixed:

so I am optimistic

It's quite interesting, I see two different speeds on one conveyor.
The above structure seems to reliably re-produce the scenario.
The piece of coal that seems to be out of alighnment, to be falling of the edge, would appear to cause drags on that particular lane.
Is this a hint that heavier items on a conveyor will slow down one lane or that conveyors may end up having dual speed ?
