[0.17.5] migrated campaign level ends up with very narrow right sidebar

I was playing the Arrival campaign yesterday on 0.17.4, loaded it up on 0.17.5, this happened:
Note the comically narrow box that the research and minimap are stuffed into. Nothing else seems to be affected this way.
This seems to happen with all my 0.17.4 campaign saves. Starting a new campaign or freeplay didn't have this issue.
My system: win10 pro, core i5 9600k, geforce gtx 1070, 16GB RAM, two monitors side by side both at 2560x1440 with Factorio fullscreened on the right one.
