[0.17.4] Massive input lag when using mouse in multiplayer

Whenever I move the mouse around ingame, it moves very slowly, and then afterwards keypresses will lag several seconds behind. The problem is most noticeable in a GUI. It happens in all menus in-game, but not the main menu when a game is not running, nor in a fresh singleplayer save (I haven't tested it in a built-up singleplayer map).
