Mac Crash during game startup

I have a windows computer and a mac. My windows version runs fine but my Mac version both the steam and the non steam version crashes in the middle of launching the game.

Does your computer have the minimum requirements ? especially the 512 MB VRAM one

Duplicate of viewtopic.php?f=11&t=50176 (identical log, same cpu and graphics card)

Solution was to reduce video memory usage (solution 1 in viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9300), on Steam right-click Factorio in the Library, choose Properties and click Set launch options, enter --video-memory-usage=medium or --video-memory-usage=low into the field and click OK.

Thanks, guys. Sorry for the duplicate. However, I can't seem to find the config file anywhere? Do I need to copy one over and create a directory?

On Mac it should be ~/Library/Application Support/factorio

It is probably easier do it through launch options in Steam as daniel34 described in his post.

For 0.16, I have adjusted default graphics settings for Macs with Geforce GT 330M.
