Start Factorio
Multiplayer, Browse public games
Click on "Arumba 0.15 marathon server"
While it is selected, Ping says "Calculating .. .. .. .. .. .. can't reach"
Wait a while, click Join Game. Immediately it says:
- Sendto (0.0.0.0:34197) failed. (10049: The requested address is not valid in its context.

Back to main menu.
Multiplayer, Browse
Click on "Arumba 0.15 marathon server"
Immediately click Join Game.
It shows "Connecting to game for a 1 second" and says:
- Notice: Couldn't establish network connection with server.

Back to main menu.
Multiplayer, Connect to server.
Direct connection: "185.47.132.148:34295"
Click connect.
Within one second, connecting to game, downloading map, catching up.
Now connected to "Arumba 0.15 marathon server"

Have you had any similar issue since this report?

Right,

The issue is that you waiting too long on the browse game screen, and the information for that server is not up to date, and thus the connection fails
