0.16 crashes-on-load for me, at loading sprites, 89%.
The logs and dump are attached.
0.15 ran fine for me unless I had literally thousands-of-roboport-port-range long maps exposed.

Try disabling sprite compression, that fixed it for me.
I had to roll back to 15.x to get the game so load so I could edit the settings.
