I do like friday factorio facts, but 1) maybe switch to every 2-3 weeks. 2) Move it to thursday. I think releasing feature releases (or even bug fix releases) on friday was always a bad idea.

It is only bad idea if you don't have trust in your software, trust that is based on code reviews, tests, automatic CI processes, monitoring and many other ideas and techniques used in modern programming.

E.g in my last company I was very confident to make releases any time in a week - but I built CI by myself and team leader build confidence with tests and better code reviews. On the other hand, current project has no whatsoever I mentioned so I dread release no matter what day of week it is

FFF (the blog) can be followed with RSS, will you update it in case you have something special to say, on top of the email notice?

Congratulations on the release. You guys did a great job with the development of this game and are an example for good development and community interaction all game developers should at least look at. Take your rest, you've earned it many times over.

Warning: just another Factorio-related personal story ahead:
Myself, havent played for...um... 4,5 years... (there were reasons) But haven't skipped any single FFF! I'll miss them. In fact, I already do. All these years I even had a feeling I never ceased playing, because how close the game was, thank to FFFs (it still feels I left it just a week ago, no more)). As someone have said before, it was a piece of good news to wait for every week.
Well, It is completely understandable, why there won't be any from now, so I don't even ask it.

I just would like to know:
Was it intentional to have that Full Circle?)

Just so you guys know this my favourite game and I am so excited to play 1.0. You guys are fantastic, not only have you created the best game, base building experience, timesink and automation heaven ever, you have spawned a new genre. Each playthrough is over 250 hours and continually engaging and satisfying.

I'm going to buy some merch simply out of respect and reverence, and say it again, you guys are the best!

Yes, that is my quote from back when i started playing alpha 0.6. I'm still playing it. The gf has changed (she plays now too - and i dont want to know how many hundreds of hours we have spent playing together) , the job has changed and the appartment.
All the time i kept playing your absolute masterpiece of a game, that just got better and better and better and more polished, and more beautiful, optimized and an ever increasingly fantastic experience.
I congratulate you all that made v. 1.0. possible!

I had a feeling we might get the Spider-tron or something similar with 1.0.

I've been running the same factory since 1/1/2020 (about 60 rockets in) with my kids watching much of the time.

Time for a new factory, factory #30.

Congratulations guys. I'm gonna miss the weekly updates a bit, but totally understandable to stop it now.

Everything about Factorio has been outstanding, from the game itself, to the communication from Wube, the modding being so slick and easy to use (from a mod creator or user perspective), constant bug fixes to tweaks (even when they'd suddenly break a mod ). Just well done on eveything.
