WoW, I think it now will be a matter of time before someone makes a factorio mod that makes factorio like that.....

I am not sure if I should than be proud or disappointed when that happends.

What does "leveling his priest" mean?

Those glowing heat pipes look super nice.
Do they hurt you when you walk on them?

Have fun guys, may your queues not be too long ;)

And good job Ernestas, very nice bit of visual feedback on the heat pipes. Useful, immersive and pretty.

Those glowing heat pipes emanate something sinister and powerful.

Especially that night time picture really brings the "Forges of Isengard" from the LOTR trilogy into my mind...

Great work!

very nice concept, but i'd say it's not visually perfect yet.
Especially i think it's too bright, and maybe the color tone could be slightly altered? dont know, maybe it's already perfect when it's darker.
kinda like this?

several of our top men have taken time off
Who?
Top. Men.
The glow intensity is proportional to the heat. Now the visualisation should be crystal clear.
It is very nice, but is there a clear indicator of where the pipes go below the critical temperature?

I didn't even know Factorio had pipes that weren't the big, hunking fluid pipes, but that looks awesome.

He's got a character that's of the Priest class and he's leveling it up (level 1, level 2...) by getting experience points.

the heat-pipe prototype has a "minimum glow temperature", so I'm betting that would be set to the critical temperature.

Showing cooler spots at the heatpipe joints and gradual heat increase away from them? That's a really nice touch.

While it's pretty it somehow shows how much heat is dissipated without being userful as the heat pipe's thermal insulation is missing.

I'd contest that. The pipes may look intense against a dark background, but it's necessary so that they stand out in daylight as well.

More importantly, if you tone down the brightness, you're going to lose a lot of contrast between cold and hot pipes - which is the whole point of the feature.

Well, this is so hot! Will you make unused reactor pipe stubs glow too? Or maybe insulate them visually to address the reason for them not glowing?
