Good to see that cpu-handicapped (can you still call 'em that nowadays? ) can MP as well. I hope you can also do this the other way around, skip 3 logical steps when there are too many items in the map for my computer to calculate

Well, once the logical-step is too heavy to calculate there is no cure :)

On the other hand there is big space for optimisations of the game simulation.

A positive surprise, it already feels quite optimized.

Thanks for decoupling the rendering/game state updating, it was annoying me for some time because I only have ~40-50FPS in my current game but didn't want to enable low FPS mode. :D

Is it just me, or does anyone else really wish the updates were longer? I always am saddened why i finish the weekly update because I wanna hear more.

I would just to say, that I love how open you are with the development cycle. I'm in school for programming myself, and when I see the many different challenges you face, I often stop reading and try to figure out how I would solve it before looking on at what you've done. It's also a great way to communicate when updates are going to happen, and why they might be delayed. I feel much closer to the development cycle than other games, and look forward to every Friday's article.

Thanks so much for these little pictures of the programming real world!

This is really good news.
Automation of the development cycle is paramount to successful programming. If it is easy to run a test it will be done frequently and the code is verified as soon as it is ready.
Automatic test of GUI is notoriously difficult, especially with localization differences, as elements grow or shrink depending on language,

You have no idea how frustrated you would get. I think that the Experimental version will be broken enough :)

I am a Supporter. I am used to bugs etc etc. Before I get frustrated there must flow a lot of water down the river :D

:D This was discussed tonight in my live stream. I did say that I thought you guys would hold off as long as you could. The experimentals have normally been quite good. Are we still set for an october release?

Really liked this Friday facts. As others have mentioned, I love how open you guys are about development and such. Not many games or devs do that, which is shame. But that was a good question by -root, we still set for October release? *crosses fingers anxiously*
