The friday facts is here: https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-45

Sometimes it is hard to write facts with no new thing in Factorio to be shown and stretch it to few paragraphs, but we always manage somehow :)

Darn, I thought The Hydra Dilemma would've gotten at least a mention by now. :(

Oh well. Have fun paragliding! Please don't die. :)

I played Minecraft Tekkit Lite for a long time. Was very good fun. But it wasnt balanced. This is one of my designs

Factorio is great. But there is much more potential in this genre. Btw: How does this genre called?

So i wish the team good luck. There is much much more content to add into the game.

I should get you to write my essays! I always find it difficult to stretch one sentence out to 2500 words.

I was a big fan of those minecraft mods too, and am a much bigger fan of Factorio at this point. But something I do miss from the minecraft side is the sense of discovery (via digging or exploration). Of course, working in only 2 dimensions instead of 3 is going to limit the sense of discovery/adventure, but I think that's one area that Factorio can improve on.

The future biomes will help for sure. Perhaps if some biomes have more/less of certain resources, like desert biomes could have richer deposits but mining can bring the attention of worms. Or some pre-built ruins (with chest loot) and features that appear in certain biomes. Or an abandoned base with turrets hostile to the player.

I know you guys are working hard on plenty of things, but I though I might give some ideas on how to increase the exploration/discovery aspect. Keep up the hard work!

If NerdCubed video was the only one (2014-07-31):

Code: Select all

views = 128,780
sale  =   1,550
pct   >       1.2
That's very good advertising. :shock:

It is planned to be released together with the first multiplayer version in the 0.11 version. As those models are requred for multiplayer because they allow players to have different colors.

Is there any preliminary guess about when we might expect 0.11?

Can't wait to start building factories with friends :)

No need to guess, when the devs put their Roadmap right here. :)

I know, was just hoping if there is maybe some more info available on the release date of .11

On a sidenote, the roadmap should be updated to reflect the released .10 version

Just to prevent questions: The release of 0.11 CAN be in mid september. Or not. Maybe in october. Or november. It's just a rough estimate which can be false.
