This seems unrelated but it actually isn't. I went to a trance music event last Wednesday in Amsterdam. I started talking to a guy and I somehow started about games (and then it's impossible not to mention Factorio).
He never heard of it before but he was really interested, so I added him on facebook and sent the trailer and some other vids the next day. And I explained why I like the game so much. He eventually bought the game on Friday, so possibly BHakluyt bought the 1.000.000th copy because of this, or he ended up with 999.999 or 1.000.001 because I start talking about awesome computer games to strangers at music events. Of course everyone here played their part in reaching those 1 million, by buying their personal copy and telling their friends about it, and that's amazing.

I was hoping to come visit you guys in August, but this was a convincing reason to come early.
Ticket purchased, now to decide to rent a car and drive the measley 500kms from Frankfurt or to take the Bus.

if only the flights from Glasgow weren't so expensive at the moment :-/

Late but huge congratulations on one million! You sooo deserve this hugely! I will join the party, looking forward to it so much.

I also must say that this interview is very inspirational (in a good way). Even with just subtitles, I can really feel the passion you put into this endeavor - so glad the story has the most happy "ending" imaginable.

P.S. Clearly 20 M is the next milestone :p.

I was searching the net to see a list of game sales for the PC and stumbled upon the Wikipedia page. It looks like a million sales for Factorio puts the game in the top 100 or so games sold ever. Pretty awesome.
