I wonder if that Little Tint in the Chemical Plant is Editable.
I assume it is, for Modding.
Also, maybe i missed it, but the is the HD Version gonna be a Seperate Version, or is there just a Option for it in-game?

It will be an in-game option in the graphics settings

Factorio is a very good example of the right way to be indie devs. Compared to some of the people Jim Sterling has to deal with (which I'm sure prompted this FFF), the Factorio devs have always been very good at the whole community and Youtube interaction. A big thank you from all of us - games like Factorio should be used as an example to all want-to-be indie devs! :D

Also: Those refineries and chemical plants look awesome! Does kinda show up the inserters though!

Is it possible to make keys that automatically expire after 1 year?

Offering free game keys (as you do for every youtuber who has > 1000 subscribers) is a tricky business. A lot of people are pretending they would like to review the game but they actually are a) not who they say they are or b) just trying to get a free copy of the game without any video coverage.

This blog post offers some insight (from a dev standpoint) as to how easy it is to get free game keys and what developers can do against it:

I just want to let you know how absolutely beastly that new pump design is. It's one of those designs which can give you a hard time remembering which side fluid goes in and which side it comes out but the aesthetics are spot on. Super excited to see them in action, especially since I hope those fluid inspection tubes actually fill up dynamically.

So can't you guys just make review keys only active for 90 days and be up front about it? Just tell the streamers -

"Look guys, we love you, but we've been getting taken advantage of, so we're restricting our review keys to full-version 90 day trials to discourage re-selling.

If you still want to play after 90 days, let us know and we'll hook you up with a full key if you've created any content with the review key."

Limits the 'free' full key to 1 per person. Still let's them do MP review. And keeps everything clearly at your own discretion for the free full key distribution.

BTW - the new chemplant graphics look great.

Perhaps have more validation when sending keys? Have the youtubers communicate with you over trusted channels. And putting restrictions on the use may legally hinder them from selling keys. If you just send em keys, they are probably allowed to sell em, even if its a reputable youtuber. Have em activate the game within 10 days, and if not done, reject the code.
Now if they dont review the game ,which is a fair choice, you dont have to bother.

The refinery still looks a bit blurry and different compared to pipes. The main reason for it may be that the tiny pipes look too simple texture wise.

If they never reviewed or created any content with the game just disable the keys!

Might seem harsh but even an email asking for keys in exchange of a game review or public content creation can be considered a legal agreement that they broke, giving you the right to disable the keys!

The poor folks that endup buying them on key sites, they know better then anyone that when they buy something for a much cheaper value, there is an high chance that is stolen and might be taken away from them. It hurts, if its an expensive game but... factorio is practically priceless taking in account the number of hours of content they get. Want to pay even less? Shame on them!
Go buy a valid key, it pays for itself...

I am ambivalent about the new graphics. One the one hand they look awesome in their worn down, dirty look, but on the other hand I would love to evolve from that stage to the Angels Mod type graphics where it is nice shining industry.
I completely applaud that this is the feel of Factorio, but I would also love to see the natural "evolution" of technology. Having 1 worn down refinery makes sense, but when you create vast arrays of them then it starts to feel a bit odd that they are all worn down.

Anyways, definitely not a complaint. There are mods to "solve" that issue (Angel and Yuoki have much more hi-tech look)
