Edit: Wow, the game was much further advanced than I have thought, it looks even playable. And to be honest: The minimap was better a year ago. ^^

In first versions of factorio minimap was jusz zoomed out view of normal view. But the problem was that it afected the game performance a lot when visible. That is the reason why it was finaly redone the way it is now.

Playing this prototype much remids me to first versions of Factorio that I played.

i think you could make an time capsule page where we can download and try older versions
that will be awesome .
