We need mod which makes these snakes 1 section bigger each time they eat a building.

Well, I guess we're going to need more bug spray for this one! Really digging the new threats. Just one more month to wait!

Come to think of it... I guess it is also a good way to clear out cliffs prior to having unlcked the cliff explosives.

Yes, please! It will be actually great, if every failed turret creep attempt will be punished by worm getting bigger and stronger

I would like a new passive weapon for them - a seismic distractor. Just for add you some time to prepare after something goes wrong. Expensive, high energy consuming, one time use, long deploy time, one per Destructor territory.
I would like to spend some resorce in other way than damaging worm and start fight that not I have time/mood for this. Just like handicap for non-military players that not focused to fight in game.

Currently Destructor is near invulnerable to any defense systems.

I get you're trying to avoid the dune comparison... but that's just not gonna happen. Also: Are these giant wormsnakes going to have any kind of similarities to the Nauvis turret worms? Eitherway these look cool as hell and I can't wait to see how to fight them. I'm also a VERY big fan of the 'no perimeter wall' approach the new planets have compared to Nauvis... does make me wonder where
this
fella is going to show up...

Curious about one thing - in one of the early Vulcanus FFFs, the devs mentioned making little "forts" out of fully enclosed craters that you could plant laser turrets in. It seems like that wouldn't be a very effective strategy against demolishers, since they'd just roll over the crater walls. I wonder if they were referring to a previous enemy design (just biters?) that was replaced or if there's more to demolishers that makes that strategy effective?

Also, a bit disappointed that huge masses of mining drills won't draw in enemies from further afield. I was definitely looking forward to "mining without rhythm".

Just me that wants to put artillery in the middle of that and annoy them all and run like hell?

Neat, I look forward to the mods that allow us to tame them and go wormriding to complete the Dune comparison that you tried so hard to avoid :D

Very nice work! Also an interesting new concept for enemies not being driven by polution but be being territorial.

Am I understanding thing correctly and there are enemies on Fulgora but not on the last planet?

Also this came to my mind :D :

A worthy successor to the “Snake” from the Nokia 3310.
This battle will be legendary! 8-)

Will the graphics in patch 2.0 be the same as in the Expansion?

One month until the premiere!

Imagine the demolishers at the map edges because they get larger as go further out.

You just see an absolute titan racing at you

I'm loving these variates and new enemies the new planets provide. For me one big draw back of Space Exploration was always the "more-of-the-same" feeling of going to other planets and fighting Biters.
Also new agro mechanics are great. Who cares about pollution on a planet that is 99% plants or already a volcanic hellscape.

From what I understand, you need to kill a Demolisher to claim the territory. Is there any time component though? Will the territories of other Demolishers expand unless we put something in their way? Perhaps a passive building that prevents the expansion of territories but not attacks within established ones?

Yes, except for things that are expansion-only.

The expansion is basically a mod that runs on top of a regular 2.0 game. Everything that isn't locked to the expansion is the exact same.

That's what the FFF says. I'm excited to see the building challenge that's apparently so complex, enemies on top would just be overkill. :ugeek:

Wow, that looks amazing. I'm not much into fighting, but I really look forward to seeing these and working around them until I feel strong enough.

Nowhere.
The freezing planet had flying enemies and among them were the jelly-like enemy from FFF-367, however since then these enemies have been dropped from the game. The last planet has a delicate mix of challenges and although we found a way to add enemies to the mix in an interesting way, it would make progression much slower. It might be better as a mod.
Unless you want them to :-)

I think so. They obviously considered strong enemies for Fulgora at some point, I think it's reasonable to expect some. And as it was stated it's a lifeless place, everyone expects old robots...
