Although I jumped into Factorio after 1.0 I quickly got hooked by the game and I can't wait to see what new mechanics and content await us!

For sure you can grab my money as for this game is such a low price compared to the total hours you sink in

Thank you for the FFF. This gets me so excited. More Factorio (and hopefully more biter action) is exactly what I desire. The brain bug design is absolutely perfect! The thought of biters making more intelligent attacks on my base would be incredible!

I would love to be a beta tester. Especially if you need someone to check the balance at the hardest possible difficulties where the biters are an EXTREME challenge.

These are my qualifications if you desire this type of player... I play DW/MAR, made more difficult with these settings: all sand, min trees, no water, biter nests increased to max 600% frequency. I am getting close to launching a rocket on this type of map using, no bots, no lasers, no solar, all steam.

1.2 .. ?! Yes, the intetion of 1.2 is to be as much as 1.1 as possible while there is a huge change behind the scenes to make the DLC possible, got that. Oh BUT - what "minor" feature requests will be included? (What a dev sees as a minor improvement and a player sees as minor are of course totally unrelated)

A switch/shortcut/button to toggle train between manual/auto so I dont have to go in/out of menus is my top QoL hope. And moving the shortcutbar from bottom to side (I have a very wide screen) and that production charts (and similar) keep their timebase setting between bringing them up. (and a few others, but those in particular)

I doubt there to be some kind of discount. In line with their stance on sales and how that would be unfair towards players who bought it before the sale, having people pay less because they didnt have the game before seems unjust towards the people who stuck with factorio since so long.

It sounds similar to Crusader Kings 2 expansion model - up the game version, some free features for everyone (primarily QOL) and some features strictly for the expansion. I like this.

Like others said - you guys demonstrated unique level of commitment to your project, which justifies preorder of the expansion. You are the beacon of hope and I wish you could one day buy out some other studios and bring the right level of quality to the rest of the industry.

Have you thought of releasing 1.2 as experimental without releasing the expansion in parallel? It could be a way to test at least some of the changes and could reduce the amount of bugs when releasing the expansion.
