Automated testing of mods

Hi,

After 500 hours of vanilla gameplay I started factorio modding today to ease post win gameplay for myself without interfering too much with the original balance of the game.

The result of my full day journey in modding: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/advanced-equipment

The more intresting part is I also created a travis build runnig headless factorio to at least parse the mod automatically and check if crashes the game or not.

Are there any best practices out there how factorio mods can be automatically tested?
