[0.13] New item types prototype formats

Post by Rseding91 »

These 3 new item types where added in 0.13.0 without much on how to use them:

https://wiki.factorio.com/index.php?tit ... mWithLabel
https://wiki.factorio.com/index.php?tit ... ectionTool
https://wiki.factorio.com/index.php?tit ... hInventory

Additionally the item-with-label and item-with-inventory can have several things modified on them runtime through the API: http://lua-api.factorio.com/0.13.8/LuaItemStack.html
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

Question - that inventory expanding property will only work for player armors or it can be used to extend chest size for example?
(I'm thinking about resource specialized storage space since it can be filtered).

@orzelek, From what I saw in the wiki, it should work with any inventory (I wonder if they can be nested ....)

The extension yes, but not the filters? SO making an iron ore silo for example with this is not possible, but an iron ore bag you can carry around is? I imagine putting inventory expanding things into a chest, which become a warehouse...
