Map-scanning via satellites launched

I was thinking about some use for the satellites we launch. The first idea coming to mind is a radar-like function. Say, we can place a special marker anywhere on the map and get the area around it being permanently revealed until the marker removed. Just like if there was a radar placed at that location. The total number of such markers persisting on the map simultaneously can be less or equal to the number of satellites in orbit.

Is this possible to mod?

It's done in the Fog of war Remover, you must set the sattelite tag to the map and you get the revealing of this area. The amount is not more than satellites on the orbit.

It was added as option, it must be separated, but then the saved data will be lost.
