New Wagon - Mod idea

Since we have now the artillery wagon (which is awesome) it would be an nice addition to have a Turret wagon for closer range.
Artillery seems to have special logic attached to it (trigger firing, silly long range, etc) I'm not sure how easy it would be to mod this without interfering with artillery logic.
however, bob's vehicle equipment mod has turrets you can equip on tanks and trains in the equipment grid, that's kind of close.
