It would be nice to have it in Factorio. 2 buildings: central tower and heat solar panel. the tower receive water and turns it in steam. It could need a minimum number of panels to work, es 10, and more panels create more solar power. A plus would be the panels turned toward the tower, forming a circle. Heat not directly used by the tower could be stored in an attached heat accumulator, so the tower could also work during (part of) the night.

Yeah, looks pretty cool.
As well as this, they could add other power supplies, like wind farms!
If they were to create rivers as well, we could have hydroelectric power.
With volcanoes, Geothermal power would be a must, it generates quite a lot of power as well.
The Icelandic also have the benefits of free hot water, as the excess hot water is pumped into rivers.

There are a couple of mods for heolic generators, and for geothermal energy too (although they're not so great). Hydro plants could be a nice addon! Large plants could be built over water, like tidal stations.
