Hi fellow Factoriorists, I was thinking about a very little locomotive with tiny cargo wagon. Fast speed not required. Why I thought about this:
I'm playing a heavy modpack with Bob's and Angel's, a rail system is needed for producing many things (a giant bus is impossible); it is not only useful for minerals.
Currently I'm using little locomotives added by Yuoki, but the recipes are quite complex and made with Yuoki items, so it would be nice having a mod with just a small loco and wagon, for shunting cargos around the base (maybe a little tanker too?). Recipes could be a more economic version of the standard locos and vagons. Let me know what you think

Hi! Yes I was aware of this mod but I haven't tryed it, because I was looking for small trains, not cheap. Plus graphics seems not so well harmonized with Factorio's standards. Thank you anyway

You can edit the railway mod to remove the unwanted recipe items.

Don't worry! I haven't thought about modifying Yuoki code, it can be a way but I prefer not to alter mods for my only sake

Any possible realization in 0.15 ?

I'd love to make a railway mod, I'm just not good with graphics. YuokiTani's mod does look pretty amazing though.

I don't have experience with modding Factorio. Maybe it's possibe to cut and resize the default locomotive graphic? Or using just something temporary, waiting for someone able to complete it? Yeah Yuoki's Trains looks really good

In theory it is possibly to edit the base game's sprite sheet to cut it down, but it has... 64/128 facings? a lot of sprites.
