I love automation and factories i used to work in a peat moss factory myself! And was in charge of a few things, but you only really see the oil refinery as a multiple output building I would like to suggest an alloy factory that accepts steel, and outputs alloys like the oil refinery does. The alloys would be discussed by the developers of course, for future plans on expanding the Factorio legacy. My idea would be to have one alloy factory per fuel ex. Burning or Electricity, and the corresponding techs: Steel processing would unlock the Alloy factory tech allowing you to research the factory and different tiers of it. The interface would be half furnace half assembler because it would require steel and other ingredients to manufacture multiple forms of alloy. please pardon me if this seems vague this is my first forum post at giving a suggestion (yes i read the terms & rules).

I think this can be implemented as mod. Should I move this thread to mods?

Bob mods have nitinol and invar, i want some new alloys too
